Masai Mara Balloon Safari

A custom 4X4 safari vehicle will pick you up from your camp or lodge between 4:00-5:30 AM and drive you to the launch site, arriving by 6:00 AM. Depending on the weather conditions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while watching the balloons being prepared for take-off. Your pilot will provide a safety briefing and explain what to expect during the flight. Basic toilet facilities are available at the launch site. Please note that one launch site has toilet facilities.

The balloon crew will help you climb into the balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise, around 6:30 AM. As you ascend, the Masai Mara plains unfold before your eyes, offering views of the golden sunrise, captivating scenery, and animals below as the winds gently guide the basket deeper into the reserve. The pilot will point out wildlife below, providing numerous photographic opportunities. Enjoy a silent flight over the spectacular savannah, lasting approximately one hour, depending on wind conditions.

Upon landing between 7:15 and 7:30 AM, witness the balloon envelope being deflated as our vehicles are ready to take you for a short ride to your morning meal.

Breakfast is served on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single balanite tree. Indulge in a full bush breakfast Kenyan-style, including made-to-order eggs, sausages, fresh juices, fruits, cereals, and sparkling wine.

While enjoying breakfast, you can view the photos taken by your pilot during the flight and decide if you would like to purchase them or any other merchandise from Africa Eco Adventures Ltd on display. The experience concludes with a certificate signed by your pilot as a keepsake.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely game drive back to your camp or lodge, arriving around 10:30 AM, reminiscing about the morning's unforgettable flight.
